1. Who We Are

SwiPredict.ai is a prediction game platform operated by MassPredict LLC ("we", "us", "our"), based in Oakland, California. We are a sister platform to MassPredict.ai. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, and your rights.

2. What We Collect

We collect the following when you use SwiPredict:

Account Information: Email address, display name, and profile picture when you register, including via Google OAuth
Prediction Activity: Every swipe (YES/NO), question ID, timestamp, wager amount, and outcome — stored server-side in our Supabase database
SP Balance & Stats: Your SP point balance, prediction accuracy, streaks, and leaderboard position
Game Interactions: Daily picks, SwiParlay entries, Crystal Brawl participation, Crystal Ball sessions, and PredicTrivia rounds
Session Data: Anonymous session identifiers used to track gameplay for users who have not registered. Not linked to personal identity.
Device & Technical Data: IP address (for rate limiting and security), browser type, and device type
Local Storage: Preferences, walkthrough state, and disclaimer acceptance stored in your browser's localStorage. Clearable via browser settings.
Payment Information: If you purchase SP packs, payment details are processed by Stripe (web) or Apple In-App Purchase (iOS app) and are not stored by us

What we do NOT collect: We do not collect real financial data, portfolio information, or trading history from external platforms.

3. How We Use Your Data

To operate the prediction game and award SP points accurately
To display leaderboards and social features
To generate your prediction history and accuracy stats
To prevent abuse and enforce rate limits
To send notifications about resolved predictions (if opted in)
To improve question quality and game mechanics
Aggregate, anonymized data may be used for platform analytics. This data cannot identify individual users.

4. Data Storage & Processors

Your data is stored on Supabase (our database provider), hosted on AWS infrastructure in the United States. Supabase acts as a data processor on our behalf. Serverless functions are hosted on Netlify. If you are in the EEA or UK, your data is transferred to the US — we rely on Standard Contractual Clauses for these transfers. Payment processing is handled by Stripe (web) or Apple (iOS). Authentication may use Google OAuth.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only:

With service providers necessary to operate the platform (Supabase, Netlify, Stripe, Apple, Google)
With MassPredict.ai (our sister platform) for cross-platform SP tracking and leaderboards
When required by law or to protect our legal rights
Aggregate, anonymized data may be used for internal analytics

6. AI-Generated Content

Questions on SwiPredict are generated using AI, including Anthropic Claude API, Perplexity API, and xAI (Grok) API. Outcomes are resolved via automated APIs. AI can make mistakes — questions and resolutions may occasionally be inaccurate. We do not guarantee the accuracy of question resolutions. In cases of clear technical error (e.g., API malfunction), we may void the question and return wagered SP. SwiPredict is an entertainment platform, not a source of factual information. User identity (name, email) is not shared with AI providers — only question content is processed.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

Access the personal data we hold about you
Correct inaccurate data
Request deletion of your account and associated data
Request a copy of your personal data
Opt out of non-essential communications

8. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where required by law. Upon account deletion, your SP balance is permanently forfeited and cannot be recovered.

9. Children

SwiPredict requires users to be at least 13 years old to create an account. Prediction gameplay requires users to be 18 or older. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe a child has registered, contact us immediately at contact@swipredict.ai.

10. GDPR — EEA & UK Users

If you are in the European Economic Area or United Kingdom, you have additional rights under GDPR including data portability and the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. Our lawful basis for processing is legitimate interests (operating the game) and consent (for optional features).

11. California Residents — CCPA

California residents have the right to: (1) know what personal data we collect and how it is used; (2) request deletion of their personal data; (3) opt out of the sale of personal data. We do not sell personal data. To exercise your rights, contact contact@swipredict.ai.

12. Cookies & Local Storage

We use essential cookies for authentication (Supabase session). We do not use third-party advertising cookies. We also use browser localStorage extensively to store prediction history, walkthrough state, and preference settings. Clearing cookies or localStorage via your browser settings will log you out and reset local preferences.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy as the platform evolves. We will notify registered users of material changes via email. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
